Birthday Parties!

Getting ready for Leiden's party...I blew up a ton of balloons last night to prepare for the giant balloon garland, and the silly little clips didn't hold the air in!  Grr.  Added work for the day.

But, we got it done!

This afternoon was also Leiden's end of year 4th grade program at school.

There were recorder numbers, singing numbers, and speaking parts.

Then we went back to the classrooms where the students showcased their county projects.

And then on to party time!  Leiden wanted to invite her whole class, so we ended up at a park.

With giant Jenga!

We had hot dogs and watermelon and chips.

My sweet friend, Amy made Leiden's cake for her...A Shopkins cake made in the shape of Leiden's favorite, Melonie Pips!

The giant Jenga was a total hit!  The kids had a great time with it!

We set it up a couple times, and they just kept lining up to take turns.

It got pretty crazy!

And then it finally collapsed!

Happy Birthday to you, sweet Leiden!

She had a great time at her party with friends galore.  I love this (not so) little girl!

Spent quite a bit of time and quite a few sanding blocks today to sand all the ends so no one gets slivers!

Next step is to paint them!  I got some pretty spring/summery colors, so it should look nice.  I think we'll be ready in time!

Leiden was SO excited to bring Dunford donuts to her classroom friends for her birthday!  It was a little pricier than I normally like, but she's been talking about it for a good couple months.  Mimi and I had to go searching for them, and then brought them to the elementary.

Picked up the wood and paint I will need to make a giant Jenga game for Leiden's party!  I'm actually pretty excited about it, and that it will then be ours to play with at home afterwards!

I immediately got on the work when we got home.  Each block has to be cut...and there are 48 of them!

There's something about using power tools that just makes me feel excited and strangely empowered!

Leiden's party is in a couple days, and we're going to have a great time!

Because Leiden was with her dad for her birthday morning, we did special breakfast this morning.

Mac was super excited today to go on a field trip!  And even more excited that I was coming to it!  It was a walking field trip, where we went to Macey's grocery store, Farr's Ice Cream, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, and Outback Steakhouse!  They got treats and samples at each place.

Mac and some of her friends.  Mimi was very lucky to be able to come along on the field trip.

I was surprised at how delicious the smoothie place was!  It's good to know there's a good one so close to home.

We had Grandmere and Bapa come for presents and cake and ice cream this evening.

It was the beloved and long awaited FinFun mermaid tail!

She is so excited to finally have one like her sisters!

We were so happy to celebrate this little one today and yesterday!  I can't believe how fast she is growing up.

Happy Birthday, Leiden!

Happy Birthday, Miss Leiden!  You are 10 years old!  I can't believe you're in the double digits.  You are growing up so fast and I couldn't love you more!

The girls were with Brad for the first part of the day, then I caught up with them this afternoon.  We headed out to get some frozen yogurt in celebration.

We had presents!

The best part, of course!
There was a cool safe for Leiden to keep her little trinkets in that locks so sisters can't get in, a swimsuit, and shopkins galore!

Grandmere called to wish Miss Leiden a Happy Birthday.

We went outside to take some pictures.

This is my very favorite!

10 is amazing, sweet girl!

So, a little embarrassing, but I'm the Primary Secretary in our ward, and I'm JUST NOW, almost halfway through the year, getting around to getting the class pictures up in the Bishop's office.  At least he'll be caught up for 6 months!  I thought I should document my FINALLY getting to something that should have been done in January!  I suppose it can be a new goal for next year!

Terrible picture, but I was SO excited to go out on a date and get Indian food tonight!  I've seen these around and never known if they were any good.  Now I know they are!  After dinner, we wandered around Provo and checked out the City Center temple.  It's coming along, and I'm super excited to see it done.  I never made it down to Payson with the girls, so I look forward to the announcements for this one.  I WILL get them down there!

Last Day of Preschool!

It's Mimi's last day of Preschool!!

I had kind of spaced, so I dropped her off, then ran to do something super simple.  I love that there are thousands of super creative people out there, willing to share their talents and provide the rest of us with cute things to give and make and do.

I just had to modify the little tag to work for both school and teacher so she could give one set to Miss Dee.

The last day of Children's Discovery is always the circus!  Mimi's class was the tightrope walkers and the strongmen!

Their routine was so cute, done on the balance beam.

Mimi's trick was to go backwards on her knees.

She was very pleased with herself!  We are done with Children's Discovery, now!  We will miss Miss Dee, but hopefully I'll make it up there to see her occasionally.  We have had a great time there these last few years!

Mimi got balloons at the end of school, and gave one to Mac.

Tonight the girls went with Brad, and I got to go visit Thomas, who is home from the hospital!  The pneumonia went away, but they still felt he needed to be on oxygen, so he's a bit tethered right now.  I was SO excited to meet the little man, and I am in love!  I fed him a bottle, and we hung out for a while at his house before I went out.

I love him like my own!  We are so glad he's doing well, and at home, now!  Next up is getting rid of the oxygen!
