Mimi brought home this darling little Easter writing project.  I am loving seeing her change and grow this year.  She is the sweetest little thing.

We had Activity Days today, we had an object lesson and ice cream sundaes.  Obviously the sundaes were a hit!

We finished a bit early, so the girls went outside and played Red Rover, which I haven't played in YEARS!  They had a fun time, with lots of laughter and squealing.

And the best part?  They were outside without their jackets!

Cadbury to the Rescue

One of my favorite parts of spring!  The Halloween ones just don't quite taste the same way.  Which doesn't stop me from eating them!

Went to this movie on a date, tonight.  Meh.  I mean the cinematography was amazing, the special effects were amazing, everything else was amazing...but I didn't like the premise.  Two of the good guys fighting each other?  Come on.  And also the giant monster they finally had to put aside their differences to fight together?  He was ridiculous.  I just felt like the writers, whoever, were trying too hard.

Eggs!

Today was Leiden's NOVA graduation.

She got some little awards, and got to fist bump the police officers in attendance.

Then, before the girls left for their dad's house, we dyed eggs for Easter!

They always have such a good time.  There weren't too many eggs because they will be gone the next few days and they won't get eaten, but they still loved it.

We set up the tripod and camera afterwards to take some pictures of us all.

Sweet Meemers and mommy.

Some silly pics, and some nice ones.

I won't have the girls on Easter Sunday, so this is it for us!

Every time there is a moon event, I try and capture it on camera.  But I simply don't have the correct equipment for it.  So they come out looking like regular moon pictures.  Tonight the moon rose ENORMOUS, and it looked so cool.  But there was also cloud cover, and by the time I could actually see it, it was looking much more normal sized.  Still a cool picture, regardless.

Thomas

Master Thomas outside on the blanket with a ball!!!  He is SO funny outside.  He is fascinated with the outdoors and it's hilarious that he won't go off the blanket.  It provides a nice little containment area, though!

And he is happy as can be while contained!

Today was the Provo City Center Temple dedication.  I was so thrilled to be able to attend and bring these two sweethearts with me.  We went to a session up by my parents' house.  The girls were a little less than impressed by the service, but we exert whatever influence on them we can!

Later this afternoon we adjourned to Grandmere's house, where we celebrated Easter a bit early so it would jive with the family dinner and the girls being with me for the weekend.  Master Thomas was looking particularly dapper in his Easter duds, although he promptly blew out in his super fly white pants!

The best part??  An Easter hunt!

Thomas had no idea what was going on, but we persevered!

My girls are veterans, so the baskets were filled in no time!

Everyone got quite the haul.

What a lovely afternoon with our early celebrations.

Mom went all out for the holiday family dinner.  Lovely table and decorations.

Including my very favorite!  Fresh tulips!

Happy Early Easter!

Mac has been having a hard time falling asleep, lately.  And if she's awake, she's coming out of her room TELLING me she can't sleep.  I finally decided I should try some melatonin to see if it can help her.  The good news is that it does.  But it's strange to see.  It affects her visibly, effectively wiping her out.  It was bizarre to watch her just kind of sag.  It helps her fall asleep, though, and that's what she needs right now so she can get the rest she needs.

Today was a celebration of Mom's birthday!  It was a few days ago, but we couldn't get together to celebrate until tonight.  Being so close to St. Patrick's, I thought it was a very good idea to womp up some corned beef and cabbage!  I love this stuff!

A while ago when I stopped by the french bakeries to find macarons for the girls, I found a bakery called Tulie, where I found a most glorious treat.  They are called bouchons, and are a delightful mix of brownie and cake.  I decided it couldn't be too hard to make my own, so Mom's birthday was the perfect occasion to make everyone my guinea pig!

She got the singing, and one measly candle, because I forgot about that part!

We are so grateful for you, Mom, and all that you do.  Happy (belated) Birthday!  The evening was, as Leiden is always saying,

The weather is so nice these days.  I love Utah in the Spring.  I remember coming here in the spring, visiting from Minnesota, and being so surprised that it was already getting warmer!  The girls were out today on their bikes...Mac in just a short sleeve shirt!  Check out those smiles!

Tonight I went on a fun date on a little walk through the area west of La Caille, and we climbed up this giant rock that people deface on a regular basis.  Then, apparently someone comes in and spray paints the whole thing grey again!

It was a fun evening outside in the crisp spring air, doing something active.

Happy St. Patty's!

I love celebrating holidays, and St. Patrick's is a fun one!  I made the girls a rainbow pancake breakfast to start the day off.

Then after they got home from school, the leprechaun had brought them a scavenger hunt!

They got all sorts of things green.

And a paint rainbow for good measure!

I have some really great friends, so I gave them a little pot o' gold.

I found these cute little printables and knew I had to do it for my friends!
