Mercedes and the Girls

Busy day, but it all went very well!  First we took Inessa to lunch and then rock climbing for a couple hours with just her.  She's a great girl.  Very sweet, and easy to talk to and get along with.  It's so nice to finally put a real live person to a name.  Plus, rock climbing!  I'd never been before, so it was pretty exciting.  The auto belays took some serious getting used to.  I kept worrying they weren't going to work.  Throwing myself off the wall, assuming an inanimate mechanical contraption was going to catch me was tricky.  And a couple times, the belay was further out from the wall, so you go flying out into the center of the room if you don't throw your weight right.  And then land half on your back, and half on your bum!  A little humiliation never hurt anyone!

This evening we went with the other three kids to grab pizza and go bowling!  They are also really good kids, and things seemed to go really well.

And bonus!  I won!  With 107...we are serious about this sport.  ;) 

A very successful day, for sure.
