Another gymnastics meet!  This one was very close to home at the Expo Center.  Grandmere and Bapa joined us for this one, and Brad brought the other two girls.  Mac was a star as usual, although I wasn't able to stay for the awards at the end.  I missed her vault routine this time.  I don't know if I've ever seen all four routines in any given competition!

We had fun with the running commentary and shenanigans we ALWAYS have fun with with Grandmere and Bapa!

11 and 9 year well checks for the younger girls today.  They are healthy and strong.  Mac opted to do her middle school shots today, and did great even though it was a surprise.

We really love Zada's pediatrician, so we decided to take the older girls to him as well.

They are growing and doing great.  Mac is 4'9", which is the 56th percentile for height, and 85 lbs 5 oz, which is 57th percentile for weight.

Mimi is 4'11", which is the 99th percentile for height and 81 lbs 13 oz, which is the 88th percentile for weight.  She hasn't slowed down yet!  I honestly love getting these stats!

Because Leiden was positive for Flu A, Dr. Erickson placed Tamiflu on a call in prescription in case either of them get sick and then we can get them on it soon enough to do some good.  Fingers crossed they won't need them!!!

Leiden left last Friday for her dad's not feeling well, and we should have swabbed her before she went, but we didn't.  Jon tested her this morning and she has Flu A.  Of course because we tested late it's too late for her to get on Tamiflu.  So she is now quarantined to the basement because baby with the flu is scary.  Sick season is the pits!

But dang she is cute with her little headband!

And even cuter in the bath!  She loves hers little water books!

Church today, and Miss Zada was so dang cute!  She came with me to Primary and played on the floor with little Kira.  She sat for a while leaning against my legs.

In this particular sleeper her big toe sneaks out of the snap opening and it's really funny, although it can't be super comfortable for her!

Sunday walks are the best, all bundled up!

We are finally, after almost 2.5 years, getting the fish tank up and running!!!  We took a trip to Home Depot with a super cute Zada to get supplies and Jon worked on building the pump parts.

We filled it up and will now just have to wait for the water to be okay for fishes and frogs and shrimps!!  This is kind of a surprise for the girls so when they come home from their dad's we will see if they notice anything different!

As it starts up, the water is very cloudy, and the pump itself is going to take some getting used to...it makes the sounds of running water all the time, and I think I'm going to be tricked into thinking something's leaking every time I walk into the kitchen!

I fed my brand new sourdough start for the first time tonight, and I'm so excited to bake with it.  I'm following a youtube video how to, and each day removal and feeding are to be done.  I love sourdough yet have never tried making my own before, so here's to carefully growing it!

Today was a gymnastics meet up in Park City.  Mac came from Brad's house this time, as it's his weekend, and I'm glad it all worked out.  She was stressed out about her hair being done appropriately, and getting there on time, and whatever else.  Apparently their neighbor helped out with her hair, and it all worked out just fine!

I met them up there to see her compete, and was especially excited to see her do her floor routine, as she decided she was ready to add her back handspring to her routine.  She did it for the first time today, and it was great!

Her score was 9.000, so she did really well for it being the first time she added a new skill!

She participated in all the different routines, but unfortunately I poorly timed a needed pumping session and missed her uneven bars routine!  I felt bad, but was really grateful I saw her floor routine.

Little Mimi came to the meet to support Mac, and because there is so much down time at these meets, she got some Harry Potter reading in!  I'm loving that she likes these books so much.  We will need to encourage her after she is done with the series.

Mac did great, placing 4th on Vault, 5th on Uneven Bars, 2nd on Beam, and 8th on floor.  Way to go, Mac!

This is our little kefir station.  The house is pretty cold in the winter, and that slows the kefir down.  So Jon had the idea to create a warming station.  He put our old fish tank heater in a jar of water and he put all the various jars around the heated water to keep them moving.

I appropriated a spot for my just starting out sourdough starter for the same reasons!  Grow, good things, grow!

Mac was so excited because she got a crimper from Grandmere and Bapa, and she tried it out for school this morning!  It has interchangeable plates, and she can do tiny frizzy crimps, or bigger more obvious ones.

It's been fun to have Zada sit on the couch the last couple days.  And later Leiden enjoyed some time with her on our bed!

Our family dinner for Mac's birthday was tonight to avoid a gymnastics night.  It's fun to celebrate with family!

Mac made her own cake and was so excited to surprise everyone with the rainbow layers!  She asked me to tell everyone it was just a boring cake.  Then we sang and she blew out the candles.

And there was the surprise!  It turned out really well, and I'm proud of Mac for her hard baking work!

Happy Birthday to Mac!!  She got a bike too, but we changed it up from Mimi's.  We hid it in plain sight!  We put it up on the island and had the other girls lead her into the kitchen with her eyes covered and purposely aimed her at the table where her other gifts were.  I think she was a bit disappointed, but covered well.

Then we had her turn around!

Grandmere came to visit today and Zada spent some sitting time on the couch!

After school Mac took a spin on the new bike before heading to gymnastics.

There she got a new leotard.  We had bought a less expensive one off Amazon, but it just flat out didn't fit her.  So we promised she could pick one out at her gym.

Happy Birthday Miss Mac!  We hope it was a good one!

Family Sunday dinner was up at Mike and Joan's tonight and they had decorated for the Valentine's theme.  I got a shot of the kids' table.  It was fun to celebrate a few days late with family.

Today it was our family's turn to help clean the church.  We had to cancel the last couple times and felt bad.  This time we were THERE!  All the girls were put to work, even Zada with the vacuum!  With remarkably little whining!

This evening we had Jon's family over for a combined birthday celebration for Mac and MimiWe had cake and played games.  For once I went with a store bought cake for ease and it was great.

It was really fun to get together with everyone.
