Miss Zada has always had some nice dark hair, but
it is apparently falling out now. The little back of her head is growing a bald
spot, and there are little dark hairs where her head rests on her bed. She does kind of turn her head back and
forth, that explains a lot.
Today Mac filled out her class requests for Union
middle School! I can't believe this
summer will bring a child going into high school and one going into middle
School. It's such a cliche, but so true.
They grow up so fast.
Today was exciting because we are branching out our
kefir production. John is going to make some with coconut milk for me, and he's
going to make some for baby with breast milk!
He's done all this reading where people talk about they can't get the
grains to grow in coconut milk, and it's a waste of time etc. But he thinks
that they haven't had success because they aren't scientists, and they don't
know how to change things in order to get the desired results. He believes he
does, and I'm super excited for Zada and I to be able to have the same benefits
that everyone else in the family is getting.
He had to remove some grains from the large jar he
makes the regular milk kefir with, and wash them really really well with
running water. Hopefully there are no
milk proteins left on the grains. He set
aside some for me, and then a tiny little bit aside for miss Zada's kefir.
Breast milk kefir!! In a little jar.
Our little kefir
growing station is growing!
