Leiden has chosen to be in the middle school musical, and today was the first time they met after school. She will have the opportunity to participate in either the ensemble or as a main part should she qualify after auditions. There will be singing, dancing, and acting! I am really proud of her for striking out and doing something she hasn't done before. We will know more about auditions and other opportunities here soon.
Our poor corn. The drip system Jon put in would work great, except the squishy oozy tubing we chose (easier than punching a billion holes in the hard plastic tubing, so we chose it) has gotten hard and inflexible...like the plastic degraded so badly that it became brittle. While simultaneously not releasing enough water to the plants. Especially the corn after having to travel so far! So we cut off the ears, not having high expectations, and they looked really good, but were dry and chewy. Sigh.
MAYBE next year! They need WATER!!!
