Happy March!  Time to turn Mimi's calendar and see what she did for this month!  She treasures family, friends, unicorns, and corgis!

Well check for this girl today!  Because Leiden has had the flu, and Mac and Mimi have prescriptions standing by, he wants us to prophylactically put Zada on Tamiflu.  It makes sense, as we are terrified of her getting the flu.  So here goes!!

She is growing and happy!  She is exactly 24 inches long, putting her in the 59th percentile for height, and 13lbs 12 oz, putting her in the 56th percentile for weight.  Her head is also growing, although it remains proportionally smaller.  It measures 15.7 inches, which is the 25th percentile.  We feel like her proportionally smaller head makes her look pretty!

Dr. Erickson told us to start solids at 4-6 months, but we have read some new research about it being better for baby's gut to wait until 6+ months.  Their bodies don't yet produce amylase, a necessary enzyme to break down grains.  That starts around 6 months, so we will be waiting until closer to 6 months.  We will also be doing baby led weaning, which basically means table food, what we are eating.  With no restrictions save honey and whole nuts.  It's pretty exciting, but we are a ways off.  We are just glad she's healthy and growing!
