Lots Going On

As always, Mimi is drawn to the dirtiest, most-mess-possible activity around.  She had a great time playing in the ashes from the other night's dutch oven cobbler.  She was a disaster when she came in!

This is what we're seeing in the garden these days!  Red!

And cucumbers I left far too long on the vine.  They mostly remind me of clubs.  I was hoping to make pickles, but this batch of clubs cucumbers probably will have too many seeds.

We have about 8 watermelons of various sizes.  This is the best looking one, and we have Mac to Vanna for us.

Leiden is so excited because her little caterpillars started making their chrysali (?) today!  One is already in, and several more are hanging from the top of the cup.  It's only a matter of time.

On the less-than-wonderful-for-us-left-behind front, Brad left today for the scouts' high adventure camp.  He'll return Saturday.  They are going up to the Boundary waters and they're going to canoe and camp and who knows what else!  Leiden went outside to wave goodbye to daddy.

Mimi was distraught that daddy left.  It's really quite heartbreaking.

We're going to try and stay busy this week!
