Mac allowed me to put her hair up, today, so we got it off her face.  She came in after putting in a cute little headband and dressed in her little ballerina costume.  She is so cute when her hair is out of her eyes.

It was HOT today, so we got out Mac's little (actually pretty big) birthday pool and filled it up.  The girls had a great time splashing around.

Tonight we went to a kind of neighbor's house for s'mores.  We met them last year, and they live in the subdivision just south of us.  For the occasion I made homemade marshmallows--regular and cake batter flavor.  The cake batter ones tasted great but were not suited to roasting over a fire.  The gelatin really stood out in them, making them more of a hard set, creamy, jello-y type treat.   The regular marshmallows were pretty cool, and they were GOOEY.  Much more so than store bought.

Even I had a hard time eating them neatly!  They actually roasted up really great, although would quickly turn blackened.  Because they are already softer than store bought, they were super gooey when roasted, which I love.  Clearly.
