Still Not Well

So it's been 5 weeks since we took Leiden to the doctor to figure out her tummy pain--tummy is still hurting, by the way.  Yes, still.  She has been on massive amounts of fiber, and we're still struggling.  She got another x-ray, and the doctor doesn't think things are moving as well as we would like them to, so now we're upping our strategy.  She's now on pretty sizeable doses of MiraLax and we'll check back in 6 weeks.  Yes, six more weeks.  Hopefully the MiraLax will keep things moving a bit more, and hopefully the tummy pain will go away gradually.  She is so sweet, and has even started asking me when I give her food if it is good for her tummy.  She does not want to feel like this again.  I feel sad that she even has to worry about it, but at the same time, if she is more aware of things that will slow her down and asking when she's not sure if it's good for her tummy, maybe we won't have this problem again.  As she gets older, she'll also be able to understand what her body is telling her earlier on in the sequence of events that leads us here.  To the doctor's office.  Again.  Ugh.

This evening, Brad needed to mow the lawn, and I was going to come out to take over, and found Leiden riding along with him.  This picture is so cute.  Leiden is looking straight ahead, but you can tell she knows I'm taking a picture.  And Brad's trying to be serious, as well.  I can't believe we're already mowing the lawn again!
