Happy Birthday, Miriam!

It's Mimi's birthday!  She awoke to a pile of presents from loved ones near and far.

We began the momentous day with traditional special waffles.  Mimi gets particularly excited about the sprinkles.  Personally, I like the spray cream in a can.

Mimi has started pulling her hair back from her face like this.  It's cute, but pretty ineffective against food!

Grandma sent darling clothes--in colors she doesn't already have, which is a bonus!

Grandmere sent books about dragons and tacos.  Yes, dragons and tacos together.

And Mimi needed a suitcase!  Despite her strange face, she is thrilled, and spent much of the morning dragging it around.  She can't wait until the next plane ride to take it on.  We'll have to see what we can do!
She also got a playground ball.

Kitty got bags to play in.  Hopefully she doesn't suffocate.

Not only is today Mimi's birthday, but it is the day of Mac's Valentine's celebration at school.  These are the valentines for her teachers--Leiden's teacher and student teacher will get the same.  Super simple, designed myself, and would have been even cuter if I could have included one of the pink and white striped paper straws I ordered from Amazon that were supposed to be here yesterday.  They weren't.  So they get Love Juice without a straw.

I sewed a big hooded towel for Mimi, as well.  She took a bath this morning and got to use it after the older two got on the bus.

She seems pleased.  I was pleased at how easy they were to sew!

Then we headed off to Mac's preschool party, where Mimi would love nothing more than to join in with all the fun.

Mac was so cute, singing the songs, and participating in the party.

Mac made me this card with her handprints.  Handprints really are classic.

Me and two of my Valentine's!  --With cookies, of course!

Mac was SUPER excited to come home and look through her Valentine bag and see what the spoils were.

I got this gem of a package today, from my parents.  Chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine's!

Mimi was sad later this afternoon.  I'm not even sure why, but what a face.

Mac had drawn her this picture and hung it up behind Mimi's door.  LOVE the XOXO.

We have some serious sproutage on our Love Beans from Grandma!  Leiden's appears to be doing the best, with a tiny bit of green showing on Mac's and Mimi's just looks moldy.  Hopefully Leiden's will be spectacular!

Tonight was Mimi's ladybug party.  We invited a couple families with kids Mimi's age to come and have cake and ice cream with us.  The big ladybug is Styrofoam wrapped with fabric and felt, and the little ladybugs are fondant with painted dots.

I thought it turned out very cute.

We had pizza, per Mimi's request, right before everyone came.  I think she'll eat the whole thing.

This party was very simple, with just a few touches--the cake and the cups!  I happen to have a little circular foam paint brush, so it made ladybug spots on red cups a quick and easy proposition.

We sang to the birthday girl,

and she blew out her candles.

A couple last gifts were opened, and we now have an MD in the house!  A three year old MD.  But her kit has it all!

Happy Birthday, Sweet Meemer the Zeemer!  We love you so much!
