Christmas Cookies Part 2

And THIS is the part they REALLY love!  Sugary frosting and candy--what more could you want!?

Mimi is thrilled.

The girls were cute, decorating specific cookies specially for a their friends, designating which cookie was to go to which person.

Although we did attempt to keep things clean, how can you keep a 3 year old from sticking her fingers in the frosting!?

The girls were very pleased with their efforts and actually made it through the majority of the cookies before they decided they were done and ready for something new.  We had enough to make our deliveries, and a couple to offer Santa in a couple days!

This evening we headed up to Hogle Zoo to Zoo Lights!  It's actually pretty cool.  Not only are there animal shaped light structures, but they have a lot that are designed to look like they are moving...much like old school animation.  A dolphin breaching over a walkway, a penguin diving into the water, and so on.

They wanted to go to the craft tent, where they got to use stamps and markers to make pictures.

And then of course, the several obligatory trips to the bathroom.  Where all the cold weather gear has to be taken off and then put back on again.  I had to keep myself entertained somehow...it's always fun to just point the camera, click, and see what you get.  :)

The lights were really cool, and I'm glad we got a chance to come.  The big cats were awesome at night.  They are so sleepy during the day, and at night, they are prowling, moving around, pacing, and busy!

We will have to remember this again next year!
