We took off to Wheeler Farm this afternoon. Leiden needs pond water to look at under a microscope for her science class, and I had to rack my brain for places with standing water. I remembered they have the ponds here.
Unfortunately, the ponds have apparently tested positive for some sort of botulism, though, so they were all fenced off. We found some mostly still water in a little stream heading for the pond, so hopefully that will work!
Then we wandered around looking at the cute little animals. The baby cows were the best!
Very curious, and nosy!
We saw that there is a milking demonstration and that you can participate for a small fee, so we will be back soon to check that out!
