Ward BBQ

Today was the ward BBQ.  The invitations turned out really great.  We were proud of how cute they looked, and despite realizing that very few people know it was us that made them, let alone that they come from a hand watercolored original, we were glad to have gone the extra mile!

We decided the other day to bring our new snowcone machine and really endear ourselves to the ward members!  Jon went through the process of mixing and preparing 12 snow cone flavors from concentrate, and we used the smaller bottles of flavor we had previously.  It was seriously a hit!  The kids weren't shy at all about coming and getting snow cones, but what was really funny was the adults.  They were much more timid about getting in the line and requesting one!  And even more timid about wanting a second!

The kids had water fun, and in the midst of snow cone serving I was able to catch this one of Leiden on the tarp slide!

The jars we used to mix the flavors were really pretty...what is it about rainbow colors that appeal to us?
