Holy smokes, the last day of school has snuck up on me again!  These little cuties were off to their last day at the elementary.

Mac for ever!  She will start Middle School in the fall, and that's just crazy.

And then there's Leiden--last day at the middle school forever!  My mind kind of just shuts off when I think of a child of mine starting high school.  Where I went to school, 9th grade was still in the junior high, so this is super strange.

Zada and I had our own start of summer fun with the construction of a little wall/house toy that she will enjoy pulling up on and playing with!

She was so very excited!

And there it is, folks!  She is now used to sleeping on her stomach!  Definitely the turning point for nighttime sleep.

After Jon got home from work, I had prepared a scavenger hunt for the girls as a little first day of summer vacation celebration.  They got a bunch of little trinkets and things to keep them busy.  I want them to have a summer outside, with very little electronics.  Chalk, homemade hoppy taws, dollar store toys, some treats, and now we are ready for summer!!

This afternoon and evening I spent a lot of time making the fresh and new snow cone flavors for tomorrow's ward party, and dang if Zada didn't grab one of them off the counter while I was holding her.  There was blue everywhere.  And it stains!

Just add it to the cleanup!

The girls are super excited for the party!  We have a rainbow of flavor!

Jon is super the best with the girls.  He comes home from work completely tapped out, energy gone, and he still finds ways to interact playfully and excitedly with the girls.  Often randomly with no warning!

Tonight right after prayer, Jon grabbed Zada's letters and started lobbing them at the girls.  They were totally shocked, then joined in the battle!

An all out foam war to celebrate summer!

This was a great action shot, although blurry.  The yellow blur is a letter that hit Jon in the face, and he's war crying!

This summer is going to be fun!!
