Preschool Valentine's Day

Leiden has a strange preschool schedule--she goes on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday every week. So yesterday her class celebrated Valentine's Day by sharing valentines with each other. Here were all the valentines that Leiden gave to others. She chose Barbie ones, with tattoos, which I'm sure the boys were thrilled with. We also added little chocolate candies, and Leiden wrote her name on all 19 of the cards. With minimal whining.

Here she is with her little bag full of valentines. Mac was also pretty excited that there was another bag of chocolate in the house. She has been getting into it ever since.

I've seen all these great ideas for Valentine's Day this year. Cool food ideas, cool things to do to celebrate the day, on the day. But, there is always the chance that I won't BE here on Valentine's. I've decided that if I'm still not in labor tomorrow night, I'll prepare some things for Valentine's Day and call it good. How sad that Brad will not be getting anything special--we were engaged 10 years ago on Valentine's Day, so it really should be more of an occasion. It being on Sunday doesn't help, either. Hey, maybe he'll get a new baby.
