Random and Mimi

POTD 9/9/10: Leiden's first school homework assignment. Super simple, and she was excited to do it. I'm fairly certain that will not last.

Miriam 9/9/10: She ate sweet potato fries with us. She's chewing really well now--or gumming things, so she can eat a bit more varied fare now.

Her pincer grasp is pretty awesome, too. As of this picture, she couldn't get the puff in her mouth after grabbing it unless it was truly right between her thumb and forefinger. If she bailed and just raked it up, she would end up with a closed fist against her mouth and get really frustrated. (She has since figured out how to open her fist to her mouth.) It's astounding how quickly they learn things.

She must wonder why I take so many pictures of her while she's eating, but it's prime photo time as she's stuck in one place upright.
By dinnertime she's always a little bit tired, so this pose was classic. It would appear that she got tired of eating the fry, so just stuck her thumb in her mouth--while still holding the fry.
Mimi is such a big baby. I got some new jammies from Target the other day, 12 month size (she's 7 months), and they were fully too small. I got them on her, but they squeezed her little legs and tummy. So we got the 18 month size. She's 7 months. If she doesn't slow down the growth, she'll be wearing Mac's clothes.

Congrats! You got a thumb sucker. They make for very content babies, but hard to break later on.
