Pumpkin Patch

It's pumpkin patch day!  Here in Utah, things seem a little different, at least here in the valley, than they were in Minnesota.  Apple orchards are more difficult to come by, so this fall, that bit of tradition fell by the wayside.  Pumpkins, though, can certainly be found!  Thanks to Uncle Mad that told us about this particular place!  The girls were very excited to go and pick out pumpkins.

Equally exciting were the tractors they could sit on and pretend to drive around.

There were two corn mazes, which the girls traipsed through several times.  These are the non-tricky ones, where the path is cordoned off with yellow tape and no one gets lost.  I guess for little kids, that's exactly what you want.

The pumpkins were laid out all in rows, and there were what seemed like billions!  White, orange, pink, green, and variations on all.

Leiden took a picture of me,
while I took one of her!

Then I let her have at it with my phone...of course, I'm lugging around the wheelbarrow full of pumpkins!

Each of them picked one pumpkin and we'll carve them later on in the month.

Even Mimi managed to heft one over to the wheelbarrow, but a picture was forgone as I rushed to help her not drop it splat on the ground!  A beautiful day at the pumpkin farm, and they were very inexpensive.  We will definitely have to remember them next year.
