11 Days Before Kindergarten

Yesterday's second part...the treat for teachers...the beauty of starting at new schools?  I can reuse good ideas from the past!

Mac is all ready to present this to her teacher when we go meet her!

We attended our very last swim lesson of the season today...Leiden and Mac stay in Level 4, and Mimi stays in Preschool 3.  They have all done SO well this summer with swimming.  It has been very beneficial to have them in lessons every day.  Each of them has made great strides in their abilities.  It makes them safer in the water, and me happier!

The countdown continues!

I didn't take a picture of this, as it's not appropriate, but here was today's activity...

Tonight we went back up to the 'old ward' with my parents for their summer social...we had been informed that the fire department would be there with water for the kids to play in...boy were they ever!  They had the tall ladder there, and they rig the hose up and spray it out over the baseball field.  It looks misty and kind of soft...

but it drenched the kids in seconds...that's some high powered water coming out of there.

We looked around, and couldn't find Bapa all of a sudden.  Mom looked around and realized that Mac and Mimi had dragged him out into the water!  This was amazing, as Bapa does not like being wet!  What a good sport.

My mom likes getting wet, so she also allowed the girls to take her out in the wildness.

WHAT a fun activity for the kids.  I guess their ward does it every year...we will have to make a tradition of it, because it was pretty darn cool.
