Mercedes and the Girls

Sunday dinner...Mimi decided she wanted to eat her corn on the cob instead of me cutting it off.  She actually did a pretty good job getting most of the corn off.

Dessert was Dunford donuts with ice cream.  They are SO. GOOD.

The carrots we planted back in the early spring are slow going, but going nonetheless.  We think we had them in too shady a spot, but they are growing.

This picture is nowhere near what we were seeing...but I kept it anyway so I could remember...there are a couple fires burning, so the smoke in the air turned the sun literally red.  You could look right at it and it was red in the sky.  Very interesting effect.  The girls were enthralled with the red sun.
