Happy Blessing Day, Thomas!

Today was Thomas' blessing day!  We went to Sacrament meeting for the blessing, and then convened at Mad and Joni's house for lunch.  We chilled.

We took pictures!

Most of our side of the family was there.

I LOVE this little man!  He is such a cutie!

We go to great lengths to make him smile!  He generally responds pretty well to great big grins directed his way, and talking to him in that singsong voice babies love.

I'm pretty good at it!  And at other times he looks at me like I'm crazy.  Sometimes in just the next breath.  He probably can't quite figure out what we are all doing!

Leiden caught this one...she's got a good eye.  Sweet little guy.

Mac was so excited to hold Thomas!  She hasn't been able to, yet, and she loved it!

Mimi does funny things when she thinks no one is looking.  She needed a drink, so she set the cup on the ground to fill it.

Of course, Grandmere looks for ANY opportunity to hold the bub.

Uncle Mark took this picture.  I thought it was a sweet one of three generations.

It was nice to be gathered as family in such a celebration of joy.  Madison, Joni, and Thomas are a sweet little family and I sure do love them.

Later this evening we had some friends over for some low key fireworks.  We had patriotic ice cream sandwiches to start things off.

Then lots of playing outside waiting for a bit of dark to come our way!

We saved the big, colored sparklers for the kids to use tonight.  They were pretty cool.
