Today was the last day of swimming lessons for Mimi, so it was diving board day! She is still fearless, which I love and hate. We had a conversation on the way to the pool about NOT trying to flip off the high dive. I am terrified that she will try something and hurt herself badly. But today was accident free! We will hit more sessions next summer, for sure.
Today, at 11 days before Kindergarten, it was time to grab her a backpack! She chose this sweet little number with cookies all over it.
This evening we headed to Gateway to play in the splash pad. They have this amazing pop and candy store right by the splash pad...I've never SEEN so many different kinds of soda. Dad and I went in, and I grabbed a few that sounded like they'd actually taste good, and then we grabbed several that were strictly to see just how BAD they would taste! We got a maple bacon soda, a corn on the cob soda, and a buffalo chicken sauce soda! They really were all three terrible, for sure! My blue cream soda wasn't bad, though!
Mimi and Mac had a great time playing in the water.
Mimi was prepared with her goggles, which was good, because she had this funny habit of putting her face right over the holes, and it would blast her.
They have such fun running around.
Best of all, Thomas joined us, looking dapper as ever in his little news boy cap!
Grandmere made sure he got some fun in the water, too!
There is some impressive water pressure effects when they do their 'show' with music. They tell you not to go in the water during the show, and I have no idea why, because that's when it looked the most fun!
Fun evening with the two girls and the rest of the fam...but we missed Leiden!
