Itsy Bitsy Spider

I was sweeping the back concrete, and right up against the house I spotted a giant black spider.  It looked suspiciously like a black widow, with its huge shiny black abdomen, and upon further inspection it WAS.  I caught it, and apparently it's a big one.  We put it in this jar with a stick to crawl around on, and soon found that it was too close to the top of the jar for comfort without a lid, so we quickly put one on.  She's actually really beautiful, with a very distinct red hourglass.  The girls have named her Charlotte, which made me laugh.
