Flowrider!

The bottom tier of the cake!  It turned out so lovely, and the colors are gorgeous.  The top tier will be decorated with swirly rosettes.

This afternoon we headed up to Flowrider in Ogden to FINALLY participate in the Christmas present from my parents.  From 9 months ago!  It was SO fun for the girls, and so fun to watch, although deafeningly loud in the building.  The system itself is loud, then they played music so it could be (kind of) heard above the sound of the water.  At least by the onlookers, but it was way too loud.  I expect my ears to ring for a bit!

The girls did a great job, and while the instructors ranged in helpfulness, the ones that were good really knew how to help the girls know what to do.

When they are done, or they lose control, they just get washed up to the back in a pretty funny display of flailing arms and legs!

Mac of course was the first interested in different ways to enjoy!

But the other girls got into it as well!

This guy at the last hour we were there was fabulous.  He was super helpful and really kind to the girls.

Our fun was cut a bit short by a birthday party that came in later in the afternoon, which meant that despite having purchased an all day pass, we had to stay off during the party.  This was in the fine print of the agreement my mom signed, but the girls were a little disappointed.  We had really no interest in staying for 2 hours just watching, and by then it would have been time to leave anyway.

Thanks so much, Grandmere and Bapa!!  It was a blast!
