Como Zoo

We love Como Zoo. I wish it were closer to where we live now. The girls used to always ask when we were headed to the zoo if we were going to the zoo with the lions or not.

There was a super cute new little orangutan, running around playing with his mom and climbing all over the place. Then there was this super cute little girl running around playing and climbing on gorilla statues.

Leiden is getting better at posing for pictures. I get better smiles these days--more natural and less cheesy. Sometimes.

The girls love their dad.

These next two were so great. The problem with photographing two kids is you have to get two kids looking at you at the same time. Here's Mac:

and here's Leiden:

and here's Mimi--Miriam 8/6/10: her hair kills me.

POTD 8/6/10: Everyone has to stop and get a picture on the little statues with the sign saying, "Please do not climb on statues." Right. These giraffe backs are perfect for little bottoms.

We promised the girls one ride each, so Leiden and I went on the little roller coaster, which was actually a little scary. Rickety, lurchy, and very jolting. Leiden actually raised her hand to get off early. Which worked out, as we got our money back.

The two girls chose to then go on the swings. I was worried Mac would freak out and want to get off, but she did great and even had fun.

We'll visit you again soon, Como Zoo.
