Planting

We wanted to do some more planting, today, so we headed out to look at some various greenhouses I wasn't really aware of until today.  There's one on 3300 S. that I've never seen nor been to, and it was crazy!  We found some pretty plants for the front porch planters there.  Some pretty purple sweet potato plants, and some complimentary orange plants.  They will be pretty now in the summer, and will remain complementary through the fall.  Not to mention growing sweet potatoes while looking beautiful!

Then we headed to Millcreek Gardens, which I have seen, but not been to.  We found all sorts of different things, and left with three different kinds of melons, artichokes, the pretty purple alyssum I like to plant in the front, zucchini, and crook neck squash.

We came home and got it all into the ground.

The last time I planted the alyssum, it was gorgeous, and spread all through the flower bed.  Hopefully it will get adequate water with the weird drip system in the front beds.  That doesn't seem to be working as well these days.

The sweet potatoes and orange leafed plants are all in the planters.

With the other plants where they can grow.  Artichokes in the big planter to the side of the porch,

with more in the bed on the west end of the house, along with pickle cucumbers, the crook neck squash, and the zucchini!

We are adding to our potential bounty each day!!
