We were at my mom's this morning, and when we went out to get in the car, it was leaking something important looking on to the driveway. Jon suspected it was transmission fluid, which was not good. We immediately headed downtown to the dealership so their service center could check it out. We hung out in their waiting area for an hour or so, and then they told us it wasn't transmission fluid, but coolant. Something had gone very wrong, so while it wasn't requiring a new transmission, it was a more expensive repair than we had hoped for, certainly. Especially on a car we still owe so much on!
