Time With Cousins

We were super busy with cousins and other activities in the days after the wedding. Mimi was always surrounded by interesting kids to watch and lots of time outside.
Miriam 6/6/10:

On the only Sunday that everyone was there, the boys had phone book ripping contests. These brothers are amazing when they get together. They truly are the best of friends.

Brad spent about 10 minutes throwing kids in the air...and thanks to that tiny time period, I had Mac and Leiden asking me to be throw them in the sky for the rest of the trip!

Mac caught some serious air.

The requisite family picture, which is also POTD 6/6/10: There are so many of us, it was impossible to get everyone looking, smiling, and happy all at once. This was the best shot.

Grandma and her many stores of treats...ice cream for picture time rewards!

The next day we went to Liberty Park to the little pools and streams they have there...which are actually pretty cool, but also pretty gross, as the water is not chlorinated and so there is who knows what in it. Mac didn't seem to mind.

Neither did the big kids! POTD 6/7/10:

Miriam 6/7/10: Brad and the Meems out the window at his mom's house.

Sometimes it just becomes too much.

We took breakfast up to a campsite in the canyons. Super fun and tasty food!

Cousins together again! POTD 6/8/10 as well as Miriam 6/8/10:

POTD 6/9/10: Brad had gone home, so we left Grandma's to go stay at Grandmere's house again. Leiden and Mac needed some down time, so out came the sidewalk chalk. This was Leiden's creation.

POTD 6/10/10: We took the kids to Cowabunga Bay, which is really a fun place. Leiden did REALLY well there, even going down some of the larger slides--until she really got water splashed in her face, at which point she just hung out in the zero entry pool and the lazy river. I had to go on slides with Mac, so the refrain for the day on my end was, "More!"

We had a great time with our North Carolina cousins, and wish we could see them more often!

I wish you guys didn't have to live so far away. We sure loved seeing you!
