Football Road Trip

On October 9 we took a little road trip with some friends to Ames, Iowa to see the University of Utah v. Iowa State game. Of course the U pounded on them. Unfortunately, their red is very close to U red, so we just didn't stick out how we wanted to. Especially since we won. Like crazy. These are terrible pictures, by the way. Taken on a phone at night.

POTD 10/9/10: This is my piece de resistance. Unfortunately Shaky's eyes are closed, but it's him. Apparently there are people out there who don't believe I actually have this picture. I do.

The whole team was really nice after the game--thanking us for coming to support them, giving out their arm bands and gloves (I didn't get any). We'll have to make an effort to go to more of them while they're good. It's no fun to hang your head in shame of defeat when you've driven hundreds of miles to see them. Much more satisfying to scream til you're hoarse at your winning team in the midst of thousands of enemy fans. Nice try, Iowa State.
