Cleansing the Temple

We're celebrating Easter Week this year, talking with the girls about Christ's last week here on the Earth. The Monday of that week was the day he cleansed the temple in Jerusalem. This is the picture from the LDS Gospel Art Kit that we showed the girls while we talked about it. While I was reading some scriptures and answering some questions Leiden had, Mac had taken the picture and was looking at it intently.



After a few minutes, Brad and I noticed she was mimicking Christ's stance in the picture as he wielded his whip. Nice.



And then, because we were laughing at Mac, Leiden joined in, too.



We really liked the idea of making Easter more of a season of celebration and really trying to focus on Christ more than just a few words at Family Home Evening and then the following Easter Sunday. We hope the girls will enjoy spending a week talking about Jesus and learning more about that last week in his life that is so important to all of us.
