Farm Babies!

Today we were off to the zoo to see the little farm babies! The girls love to do this every year--I think the ride on the tractor trailer is the most exciting part for them. Here they all are riding out to the farm. Feeding the goats is always fun--and maybe a little weird. Mac was just not sure if this was something she really wanted to do. This goat was really sure she wanted to try and eat Miriam's blankie and suck on her milk cup! We saw the cows--they are so enormous. You just don't imagine them as large as they actually are. There were three little tiny piglets a few weeks old that I didn't get pictures of, but the girls absolutely must sit on the giant pig outside the swine barn. And get their picture with the John Deere tractor. Every time. I think my favorite part of the whole day was the roosters at the zoo. They were strutting around, with their little heads bobbing and one even kept 'cock-a-doodle-doo-ing'! And then the classic 'buck-buck-be-gaa'! They are very funny little animals. We had a great time, and even managed to get Leiden to school, today! We had ice cream for a snack at the zoo, and got lunch on the way home. Busy day!
