Disney World Day 1: Animal Kingdom

Today was fun--even though the girls only got six (6!) hours of sleep last night, we took off to Animal Kingdom anyway.  The older girls did well, and actually so did Mimi, although she was clearly tired.  There aren't tons of rides for her to go on, so she was mainly in the stroller.  Right after lunch I made the trek back through the park to the tram, and finally to the car, where she promptly fell asleep in her carseat.  After the transition at the house, she pretty much didn't take a nap.  So she was SUPER tired.

Here we are on the tram to the park.  Mac's excitement is overt!

Leiden's is a little more quiet.

Happy day!

Brad and I went back to the park with Mac tonight, which was fun.  We don't often get to spend time with just Mac, so it was a fun couple hours.  Mimi was happy to have Grandma put her down early.  Grandma said she went into the room, went directly to her noise machine and turned it on.  She was ready for bed!

Animal Kingdom is pretty cool.  They have a fun safari ride that literally drives you through the savannah, where there are all kinds of animals right outside your car door.  There aren't fences or anything, so the animals are very close, and very observable.  There were elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes, ostriches, zebra-like animals, and a bunch of others.
