Mercedes and the Girls

Mimi got super lucky today, and got to eat a sucker!  She was thrilled, indeed.

And her tongue turned green, to boot! 

For Family Home Evening tonight we put oil in our now dry clay lamps, and lit them up! 

They actually burned really well.  It's amazing to see the wick working...burning, but not just completely lighting up in flames. 

This was definitely one of those times where you see the merit of following through with a family home evening project.  So often I have such grand plans, and then they fall by the wayside.  I'm glad we were able to talk more about the parable and reinforce it with real fire!  Although Mac was a little worried about the whole thing.  Something about the fire kind of freaked her out.  She kept asking if we could blow them out, and it wasn't birthday cake type of excitement.  More manic.
