Getting Ready for Christmas

Today was a BEAUTIFUL day.  Brad got home late last night after seeing Bond with his friends, after flying back from London.  Today we were outside because it was 60+ degrees!  This may be it, folks!  The girls were huddled by the car, very intent.

They were looking at the American Girl catalog.  They make some pretty gorgeous things, but most of them are seriously overpriced.  Mac now has two American Girl dolls on her Christmas list, and 'lots of clothes'.  Hmmm.

Mimi couldn't care less about the catalog--she just loves to be outside.

Brad took the opportunity to get out on the ladder and get some Christmas lights up on the house.

Tonight while the girls were at the babysitting exchange, they drew for a bit, and Mac tried her hand at a mermaid of her own!  Check out those lips!

Brad and I met our friends Ed and Sarah-Jayne at an Indian place right by our house.  This is not the sort of place I would have ever considered going to on my own.  Ever.  In a strip mall, how scary can it be?  Very.  But, they said they have been there and it's actually pretty good.  They were right.  And now I've tried three Indian dishes I never had before, and they were all very delicious.
