Par-tay!

Leiden made this darling little sign to put on the door today for the party.

We are ready with our Creeper pinata,

our Creeper favor bags,

our Enderman juice boxes,

and all the food...more pictured down below.

First up after the guests arrived?  Minecraft perler bead creations!
This was seriously a hit...I had no idea they would like this activity as much as they did.  They sat there and just made stuff!  It was fabulous.

We had key chains ready if they wanted something to go on their backpacks, or somewhere else.

After a while, I pretty much had to drag them away from the perler beads.  The most effective way to do that was to tell them there was a pinata in the back yard!  And yes, Steve was a fabulous addition.

The kids each got a turn whacking at the pinata.

The box ended up breaking strangely, and it fell almost intact to the ground.  The kids didn't care...they just wanted the candy!

While pizza was cooking, Leiden opened her presents.  I've started trying to get Leiden with each friend and the present that friend got her.  Jordan got her some My Little Ponies.

Nico (who, yes, is clearly the life of the party...) also stocked her up with My Little Pony...she loves them!

Conrad gave her a cool little personal slushie maker...it literally makes one cup of slushie.  It's pretty darn cool.  I've never seen anything like it.

Gavin and Max gave her a tiny little baby Furby...heaven help me...Leiden was thrilled.  Hopefully, being smaller, and 'younger' it will be a little less vocal than Mimi's grown one!

We had food that is found in Minecraft...carrots,

apples,

square pizza with Creeper pepperoni...before cooking,

and after.

Leiden requested no cake and no ice cream.  We discussed a cake made to look like the cakes in Minecraft, but she eventually decided on cookies.  Hey, this makes my life EASIER!  We sang to the birthday girl, and she had one little candle stuck in the top cookie.

All in all, I would say the party was a hit!  Leiden had a great time, and I think the other kids did, too.  I'm so glad.  As a mom who plans out the parties and puts them on by myself, it's always a relief to know the kids were engaged and having fun!  The kids Leiden invited were very well behaved, and of course Mac and Mimi love to have the bigger kids around to play with.  A wonderful success!
