Happy Birthday, Mimi!!

And Mimi is EIGHT!!  She woke up this morning to gifts wrapped in black and pink unicorn wrapping, which delighted her to no end!

Grandma and Grandpa G had thoughtfully sent a gift to her in the mail that we were able to put with the others.  A bracelet maker!

Jon and I had a funny shirt made for her, thanks to Grandmere and Bapa.  Jon had seen this shirt on Amazon, and we figured we could definitely do it for less than the $20 they were asking!

Because it's the traditional 8 years old, with baptism coming up, she got scriptures with her name on them, and I made her little scripture case.  I think it turned out really cute, and she's excited to take them to church!

Today after the girls left for school, I was busy busy with preparations for tomorrow.  Jon has a little balloon surprise in mind for the girls!

Mimi of course wanted unicorn valentines, so we scoured the internet and pinterest to find the ones she liked best.  They turned out pretty darn cute!

Mac was less sure what she wanted, but ultimately decided on emoji valentines, which are pretty funny, honestly.  What a generation is being raised up!

We had a birthday dinner with family this evening, and Mimi already had out gifts from earlier, and wore her shirt to school today.

Uncle Mad and Aunt Joni got her an ENORMOUS stuffed unicorn, which she is in love with.  She now has two giant stuffed animals taking up more room on her bed than she does!

I had made Mimi's request, strawberry cake, and was bringing it to the table for candles and singing, and IT SLID OFF THE CAKE STAND onto the floor!  I tried to grab what I could, but we were left with a messy crumbly pile!

We quickly pulled up what we could, and stuck candles in it anyway!

She was a little chagrined, but handled the cake on the floor well.  She was particularly excited about the Barbies and tons of clothes she got from Grandmere, Bapa, Mark, and John!

Happiest of 8th birthdays, Meemer!
