Spilling the Beans

Finally!  The day came that we could tell the girls!  I purchased this super cute poster from Etsy that relates how big baby is with fruit and vegetables.  When we determined we were going to tell the girls, we had to quickly have it printed, mount it on cardboard to give it some strength, and then cover each week's square individually so we can take them off one week at a time!  We think this will be such a fun way to include the girls and learn about baby at the same time!

They have been asking us when we are going to have a baby, and we've been kind of evading, so we sat them down, and asked if they remembered what they're always asking us, and told them that the answer was finally yes!  They were SO excited!!  They love the idea of this poster, and Mac quickly ran into the kitchen and found my little spice container of sesame seeds so they could get one out and look at how tiny baby is now at 5 weeks!  Baby will get so much bigger!

Because pregnancy makes me more susceptible to different types of food poisoning that can be fatal for baby, raw milk is now out for me.  Women all over the place talk about how they keep drinking it anyway...to me and Jon the risk is too high.  It rarely causes problems, but when it does, they are catastrophic problems.  Luckily, there are a couple (expensive!!) brands out there that are pasteurized grass fed milk, which is the next best thing to raw.  I got two different varieties at Sprouts today, and I'll try them out.  This stuff is even more expensive than the raw, but so good for baby!
