Happy 4th of July!

From Leiden and us all, Happy Independence Day!

Brad and some others in the ward had a ward softball game this morning.  I, along with Mimi and Mac, slept in.  Leiden, was, of course, up at 6:30 this morning after going to bed at 11 PM. 

Later this afternoon we headed over to the Taylor's house for some fun in the lake and some good food and company.  Brad loves to get out on the water and keep those skills honed.

And these characters are keeping their skills honed, as well.

We have recently found that Mimi does not really do well in a life jacket.  She fights it when it tries to roll her to her back, and she ends up with her face in the water, anyway.  Plus it makes it more difficult for her to keep her feet under her.  But for safety's sake, when she likes to wander to water that's too deep, it's a must.

Brad took Leiden (and later Mac) out on the jetski.  I think she liked it.

After a few hours spent at the lake, we headed home, threw kids in the tub, and went outside for peanut butter sandwiches and some dinky fireworks in the street.  At like 6 PM.

The kids were in bed by 7:15ish, and that was that!  It was still super hot, today, so it was nice to spend some time near the water and in the shade.  Hope everyone's day was awesome!
