Today was HOT with a capital H! We got the pool out, and started the festivities with a popsicle on the deck.
I dared Leiden to do a somersault in the cold water. She did it,
and then Mac wanted to do it, too. Mimi also wanted to, but she doesn't really get how to do a somersault, yet.
It's so hot outside that this citronella candle that was left on the table outside MELTED. It is completely liquid and probably will have to be thrown out.
We had some friends over for dinner and family home evening tonight. We talked about Independence day, and how Nephi saw our great country's beginnings in a vision. We ended the evening with some sparklers on the porch. Mac seemed a little apprehensive.
Leiden is very excited for the 4th of July--each day she tells me we have one fewer day until the holiday. She's super excited about fireworks.
