Second Grade!

Leiden was ready bright and early this morning in her new outfit and she wanted her hair in french braids with ribbons at the end.  So cute.  We went outside a few minutes early for the pictures.

 

 

She wanted home lunch today, so she was literally weighed down by her backpack FULL of school supplies, her lunch sack, her water bottle, and her teacher's gift.

 

 

Mac is having a bit of a hard time waiting for her first day of school, which is next Friday.  Just a couple more days, Mac!  And then, of course, in a couple weeks, she'll be able to ride the bus with Leiden!  And Mimi has her finger in her nose.  Awesome.

 

 

 

And they've taken her away for the beginning of Second Grade!

 

 

I was a little surprised to get her and see some trees turning, and because it's been a little drier than usual, there are leaves just falling down.  I LOVE this time of year.

 

 

Later this afternoon, the bus brought her back to us, happy as could be.  She said she had a great day, and that she was excited to go back tomorrow.  Yay for Leiden!
