Leiden and Mac went to a birthday party this afternoon at Lifetime Fitness, where they (Leiden, at least--Mac did not meet the minimum age requirement of 5) got to try the climbing wall.  That's Leiden.

Mac labeled her bag.  MACHARA BAG

And then, inexplicably, turned the bag to the back, and proceeded to write her name mirrored.  ?!  I have seen her do this once before--at her preschool conference in the fall, she had written her name mirrored on a paper that was in a book.  I mentioned it to the teacher, and she just said it's just something that the kids do when they're processing the letters.  I didn't really think that was it, but didn't think about it again until I saw this.  I have difficulty imagining that she is just processing the letters, when the front of the bag is written correctly and the back of the bag looks almost exactly like you're looking through the bag to the front!  Crazy.

Brad has put in our countertop in our master bath.  Very cool tile that looks like wood.  He's a handy one, that Brad.  I'm so grateful for his willingness and desire to work around the house.  He has made so many improvements to our homes at fractions of commercial cost, with professional results.  He can fix things that are broken, and he can make things more beautiful.  And he likes it.  Perfect!
