Pickles and Santa

The girls received a special Christmas package today.  It contained three little ornaments for them to put on their Christmas trees.  They were little pickles!  They are special for a two-fold reason.  Apparently, it is good luck to hang a pickle on your Christmas tree!  And secondly, these pickles are little nubbins, which is what my mom calls the girls--her little nubbins!

This afternoon we headed to Macy's downtown, where they dedicate an entire floor to Santaland, where the elves live.  You wander through all these depictions of elf life with moving elves, and you end up with their leader!  Mimi would sit on his lap, but she was pretty shy.  Right after this picture he about dropped her on the floor she leaned so far back.  But this Santa was good.  You could tell he likes kids.  And he's not wearing black crocs.

Look at that little Leiden!

Mac was a little gun shy herself.

We got treats and wandered through their gift shop.

Tonight was our night to watch all the kids for the group babysitting, and this was the snack they were served.  Pretty darn cute for Christmas!
