Sledding

Derek came back from his training today, and we took the girls up the canyon to go sledding.  He met them last week before he left and it was a very successful meeting.  They responded well to him, and he loves children, so he was good, too.  I was very pleased with how sledding turned out.  There is no snow in the valley, but up here it was GREAT!  

We had a wonderful time, with very little crying, some serious sled air, and some funny little girls!  As opposed to sledding hills in the valley, there was no one up here but us, and brand new snowfall that we trekked through. 

Mimi likes to eat snow, and several times I looked over at her to find her face in the powder.  This picture captured her right after some sampling.  You can see the snow in her eyelashes.

It started snowing about when we were done.  What a great day with everyone!
