Mercedes and the Girls

This year's Valentine's were cute little pencil monsters.  That took FOREVER to make.  Another cute Pinterest idea that looks so cute and so deceptively easy.  Of course, it doesn't help that I made them for all three girls' classes.  Yeah.  That's like 75 pencils.  whew!

And good thing we gave out both birthday and Valentine's hand outs that weren't candy, because after a visit to the dentist, THIS one has three cavities!  I am feeling pretty low as her mother.  Her teeth are really close together...makes for a beautiful smile, but flossing is difficult in between her molars, and that's where the cavities are.  She was a little peach, though.  Letting the dentist poke around, and getting her x-rays taken.  We will return soon for the fillings.  Unfortunately, I ALSO have cavities.  Sigh.  I don't really get new ones, anymore, just decay under existing fillings, which is frustrating to no end.  The other two girls will go in later, as they didn't have appointments for all of us at once.  Hopefully their news is better!
