December 16--Santa!

Tonight was quite the do.  We decided to take a little family overnighter to the Water Park of America.  After Brad came home and we got Leiden from school, we took off to the mall, where the plan was to eat and see Santa before playing in the water for a bit tonight.

Mac wanted Chinese, and she was adamant about using the chopsticks.

She managed to get an enormous piece of chicken in her mouth, and then decided that a fork was a better option for her.

The line for Santa was quite long, and they had a coloring table set up for the kids waiting, so Leiden colored a picture for him.

Mimi loved the idea of Santa, she kept saying, "ho ho ho", but as soon as we got to him, she freaked out.  Poor little girl.  Mac did the same thing the year she was not quite two.  Leiden and Mac relayed a couple of the things on their lists, and that was that.  Santa was handing out entire packages of Peeps this year.  Usually it's just a candy cane!

After Santa, we headed back to the hotel, where Brad took the older two to play in the water for an hour or so, and I attempted to put Mimi down for the night.  We decided to put her on the bottom bunk instead of in a porta crib, and hemmed her in with chairs and some drawers.  This was a mistake!  She didn't try to crawl out or anything, but she refused to go to sleep.  It literally took her two hours to finally fall asleep for the night.  Whew.  More waterpark tomorrow!
