Nativity Exhibit

Tonight for our advent activity we took a jaunt over to the Nativity Exhibit our stake puts on.  It's really amazing, with literally hundreds of nativities from all over the world, showcased in one giant cultural hall.  There was also a kids' room, where the girls got to dress up and take pictures in the 'stable'.  Mimi has been really into dolls, lately, so she was really just interested in the dolly they had in the manger.  Dressing up?  No thanks.  I just want to play with the doll.

I walked around the exhibit with Leiden, who was surprisingly interested in the whole thing.  The other two girls were haring off and Brad was running interference, but Leiden was very meticulously looking at each nativity.  When Brad finally came to beg to leave, we were only about half way through the exhibit, and Leiden was not happy to have to go!  Next year we'll allow more time for her.

I got out the old violin for background music at the exhibit.  It was fun to play some Christmas songs, without the added pressure of people actually watching and listening to you.  It's also very different playing BACKGROUND.  Quieter than normal, and no trying to project!  It was a lovely evening.
