December 4--Snow!

It finally snowed--enough to play in, although the grass is right there underneath.  This was the first time Mimi has been out in the snow.  And her snow pants don't really fit her.  They are just this side of too short, and the rise is not long enough, either.  She did not care.  She was a natural.  No whining, no trying to take off her gloves, no nothing.

Leiden wanted so badly to make snowballs, but the snow was way too dry.

Then Mimi figured out how to just throw the snow.

This picture is funny, because it looks like Mimi is trying to clobber Mac, which would be par for the course, but for once, she's not!  Mac had laid down to make a snow angel, and Mimi was just gathering snow by her.

Mimi in the great frozen beyond.  Our yard.

The girls had fun coming down the little hill on the sled.  Double click on the picture and see Mac's joyful face.

Mimi also took a turn on the sled, which pictures didn't work because she ended up behind Brad in my line of sight.  She only went down once because she fell backwards and ended up not on the sled anymore.  Then Brad showed her she could eat the snow.  Awesome.

Leiden got some snow in her gloves and came inside with me.  I made her hot chocolate, and she enjoyed watching the antics from the warm house.

Happy first (real) snow!
