Frankfurt!

We got here!  After an almost 8 hour flight, we got to Frankfurt at about 6 AM, Germany time.  Which is bedtime back home.  :)  If you look really carefully, you can see the Frankfurt Airport sign...we have arrived, and I'm SO TIRED!  Sleeping on a plane is just not easy, although we were super lucky and got the whole middle row to ourselves.  I was even able to stretch out and kind of lay down to doze.

We are renting a car while we're here, and for the first time ever, I got a Mercedes!  They are MUCH more common here, though, so it's really only a big deal to me. 

After driving around a bit, finding our way with malfunctioning GPS in the Mercedes, we finally made our way to Ramstein Air Base, Derek's home for the next while, and mine for the weekend. 

We didn't do much else today...naps are not advised the day you get there, but there was no way I was going to be able to stay awake with two nights on a plane instead of sleeping!  We went to get some dinner after naps, and kept it quiet.
