December 3

We got so lucky today--Brad up and decided last night that he wasn't going to go in to work today! So we got him home with us all day. It was a perfect day to make snowflakes, as it started snowing about 1:30 and hasn't stopped as of now (after midnight)!

Brad showed us how to fold our papers and how to cut out bits. Leiden got a little overwhelmed when things didn't start out so well.

But then gained some confidence.

Mac was never lacking in any. She just forges ahead even when it's dangerous. No, she did not cut her finger. Yes, we took the big scissors away. (Of course, note that there is a picture of her with the big scissors. I guess if she had ended up in the Emergency Room they could have called DCFS on me.)

Brad's:

Mac's (with a smidge of help):

Leiden's:

Then Brad got fancy on us:

Snowflakes in and out.

Mimi spent the snowflake making time eating cereal off the floor. Brad literally just set her down and poured some out on the floor. Blurry pic, but funny. She didn't mind at all. She gets approximately half of her daily nutrition from the floor, anyway. This was nothing new, although perhaps a little more fresh!
