Grandma's Christmas Party

We were very excited to be at Grandma's house for a party one of the first evenings we were in SLC. The girls became reaquainted with the magna-tiles. We didn't get a picture, but at one point Mimi ended up head first in the bin with her little legs kicking.

She thought they were great fun.

Later in the evening, Leiden did some snooping for us, trying to find gifts for our little family under the tree.

We got to see Andy, Emily, Gavin, and Max before they took off for Christmas in California, so that was great.

The kids exchanged little gifts--boys got hex bugs

and girls got handmade bracelets! Thanks Gavin and Max!

Lori and her kids were there.

As were Colin and Joy. There were other people, too, but we were too busy running around for the first part of the evening to catch the others on film. Mimi took a nasty fall right as people started coming. She pulled up on a folding chair, and then fell straight back, taking the chair with her. Smacked her head on the floor, and the chair on the bridge of her nose, causing a black eye and a nosebleed. It took her kind of a long time to stop crying, so we were a little worried. I had blood all over my shirt, and so I looked festive. Eventually all was well.

This is a great one of Brad and I.

The evening ended with Leiden trying to tie a ribbon in my hair. Ouch.

We had a wonderful evening and we were so glad to see our family again after such a long time.
